Welcome and Introduction

Minutes:

The Chair, Councillor Caleb Tomlinson, welcomed members of the public to the meeting, introduced the committee and explained that the meeting was being livestreamed to YouTube.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Haydn Williams.  Councillor Wesley Roberts attended as a substitute.

Catherine Thomas, Planning Manager, reported that one appeal relating to Newgate Lane, Whitestake had been allowed, subject to significant conditions.

 

Councillor Phil Smith requested a copy of the appeal decision.

An amendment to refuse the application was proposed by Councillor Phil Smith and seconded by Councillor Mary Green.  The reasons for refusal were loss of amenity and overlooking. 

 

A vote was undertaken and the amendment was lost (3:7:0)

 

Officer recommendation was proposed by Councillor Will Adams and seconded by Councillor Matthew Farnworth. 

 

It was subsequently;

 

Resolved: (7:3:0)

 

That the application be approved, subject to conditions outlined within the officer’s report.
