Committee details

The role of the Scrutiny Committee is to provide checks and balances within the Council and to hold the Cabinet to account. Most importantly, the committee also assists in the development of Council policy by looking at existing policies and the effectiveness of their delivery, and reviewing whether new policies or changes to existing policies are needed.
