Declarations of Interest

Members are requested to indicate at this stage in the proceedings any items on the agenda in which they intend to declare an interest. Members are reminded that if the interest is a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest (as defined in the Members’ Code of Conduct) they must leave the room for the whole of that item. If the interest is not a Disclosable Pecuniary Interest, but is such that a member of the public could reasonably regard it as being so significant that it is likely that it would prejudice their judgment of the public interest (as explained in the Code of Conduct) then they may make representations, but then must leave the meeting for the remainder of the item.

Exclusion of Press and Public

The press and public may be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following item of business as it involves the discussion of information which is defined as exempt from publication under paragraph 3 (Information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972 and in which case the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.

RESOLVED (Unanimously):

 

That the press and public be excluded from the meeting during the consideration of the following item of business as it involved the discussion of information defined as exempt from publication under paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local Government Act 1972, ‘information relating to any individual’ and in which the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighed the public interest in disclosing it.

Appointment of Interim Deputy Chief Executive (Resources and Transformation)and (Section 151 Officer/Statutory Finance Officer)

The Panel considered and determined the Council’s selection and appointment of the Interim Deputy Chief Executive (Resources and Transformation) and Statutory Section 151 Officer

 

RESOLVED (Unanimously): that

 

1.    the Panel agreed the successful applicant for the post of Interim Deputy Chief Executive (Resources and Transformation) and Statutory Section 151 Officer.

2.    subject to a positive response to consultation with other members of the Cabinet this post be offered to Helen Seechurn, and

3.    the successful applicant be offered a three month rolling contract on a month by month basis with a one month notice period, working three days a week.
