The Licensing Panel considered an application by Lancashire Constabulary for a review of a premises licence under Section 51 of the Licensing Act 2003. This application was in respect of the Lancashire & Yorkshire Hotel, 249 Station Road, Bamber Bridge.

With the permission of the panel and in accordance with the council?s hearing procedure, the Licensing Officer introduced the application.

The Principal Solicitor informed the panel that circumstances had changed somewhat since the review application had been received, in as far as the Premises Licence had subsequently been transferred to the brewery (Scottish & Newcastle).

In view of this and the absence of further reported incidents at the premises the police's representative indicated that it would not now actively pursue action in respect of the Premises Licence for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Hotel.

The meeting was adjourned at 7.40pm (for a period of 15 minutes).

The panel having fully considered all the representations (written and oral), then retired to reach its decision.

The panel in its deliberations took into account the provisions of the Licensing Act 2003.

RESOLVED:
That the panel having considered all the evidence both written and oral and it now seemed that there were currently no issues undermining the four licensing objectives, therefore decided to take no further action in respect of the premises licence for the Lancashire & Yorkshire Hotel.
Agreed  Principal Solicitor, Licensing Officer (AC)
