The applicant and his employer attended the meeting and addressed the Committee. The Committee also received representations from the Council?s Licensing Manager. |

Complaint of assault/ theft - Driver B Report (203K/bytes) attached Appendix A (346K/bytes) attached A report was submitted regarding a complaint that had been made against Driver B. The Committee considered representations from the Council?s Licensing Manager, the Driver and his Employer who was attending in support. A number of additional documents were produced by the driver and these were circulated to the Committee at the meeting, together with copies of the complaints. It was decided that an earlier complaint on Driver B?s record would not be taken into account by the Committee. In the meeting the Committee offered the driver an adjournment to afford him the opportunity to seek legal advice but the driver refused this offer. The Committee RESOLVED (Unanimous) to allow the Driver to continue to hold his Hackney Carriage Drivers Licence. |
