Application for Hackney Carriage Driver's Licence: Applicant A Report attached Appendix attached (During the course of the proceedings ? (i) Councillor Watts left the meeting as he had another meeting to attend; and (ii) the Director of Neighbourhoods, Asset Management and Environmental Health left the meeting (with the permission of the chairman, the Director of Development, Enterprise and Communities took his place.) An application for a hackney carriage driver?s licence was submitted. Applicant (A) had been invited to attend and/or be represented at the meeting but was not present. The committee noted that the Council had received an email from Applicant (A) stating that he could not attend the meeting as he had started a new job. Applicant (A)?s email also provided further information which he wished the committee to consider. The committee also noted that there was a slight error made in the report. It was decided that the matter would be considered. RESOLVED (FOR: 6, ABSTAINED: 2, AGAINST: 0): that Applicant (A)?s application for a hackney carriage driver?s licence be refused. (Applicant (A) would be informed of his right of appeal to the Magistrates Court.) |
